Home Made Vegan Quesa Dia

Hello. I have thought about opening up my own vegan quesa dia shack for a little while now. I have understood that I should want to make my own tortillas when doing so since all of the ingredients being used are not much when added all up. In essence a quesa dia is just cheese and a tortilla. Though if one would like to get more fancy it is absolutely possible by using higher quality ingredients and in many forms from different regions of this beautiful planet. This is just the basis of a great vegan quesa dia! I made this for the first time and I loved every bite. It takes longer to cook but it is well worth it, when the richness of the tortilla is experienced, and along with gooey vegan mozzarella, that is satisfying, yet I am left wanting more.

Tool: Rolling pin

Ingredients:
1 Cup of flour
¼ Tsp of salt
½ Tbs  of vegetable margarine
¼  water
vegan cheese (mozzarella)

 Directions:

In a bowl add the flour and the vegetable margarine. Rub in the vegetable margarine.

Add the water and knead until it is a well combined ball.

Roll the ball with a rolling pin until it is thin as 1/8 inches.

Use an upside down bowl to make the rolled dough into more perfect circles.

Place the tortilla on a hot iron pan for a minute, then flip it over for another minute. Place the cheese on a half of the tortilla and fold. The tortilla should stay intact at this folding point.

Cook the tortillas about 5 minutes on each side on medium high.

Since the tortillas are “raw” they need to cook longer then the kind one would buy at the store. This is just the basis of tortillas and making them into quesa dias. I think next time I will try to incorporate spinach into the tortilla and use a cheddar cheese.

Thank you very much!

The Great Tree of Tangerines by Eric M. Rangel

Hello. In this land that I live in grows a Great Tree of Tangerines. The maritime weather brings in the dewy mist of sea and salt that brushes and collects on the tree. The bright California sun drenches its rays upon it. The graceful rains shed its blessing on to this tree and soak into it's roots that run deep into the ground. I get a calling when it is time to harvest these sweet gems. This time a request was made from the Queen Empiress to find the ripest and truest tangerine. I set upon to do just so!

The higher ones get the most sun so they grow the largest.

It took some acumen and a stead fast pace to race the sunset. I picked most of the tangerines off the great tree. About three hundred. Then I saw it the perfect tangerine! "It must be it! Oh, it must be!", I said. I collected it off its branch. A high one it was! This fruit was not the largest, nor the smallest. Just right I'd say. Then I had accomplish my best in the search for the ripest and truest tangerine. I think I did well. Hence the Great Tree of Tangerines begins another cycle.

A Short Poem Titled: She wants someone to…

She wants someone to…

She wants someone: to call, to hold hands with, to smile at, to relax with, to eat pop corn with, to snuggle with, to think about when it is raining, to eat dinner with, to tell her she is beautiful.

I had started this painting about a month ago and I just finished it! I have to be in the mood to paint. I usually spend around six hours when I paint. I am pleased with how my painting came out. I have progressed and learned that taking time with art is well worth it.

Thank you very much!

Anatomy of a D.I.Y. Hair Cut

Hello.

For this Do It Yourself, the tools one will need are: hair clippers, two mirrors (a vanity and a wall), a vacuum.

One has to have to be an artist. Out of the arts, cutting hair (cosmetology) is one of the most sensitive. Though done right it creates fun and fashion! It does help to be dexlexic and/ or ambidexterious. One could go to a saloon or a hair cut place though it is much more satisfying to accomplish by ones own means. After all it is art and would not an artist paint his own picture? Then why not cut their hair? Hence, I do cut my own hair. There is also one to blame if it goes wrong. No one is really at fault and it will grow back. Unless it is done as a prank, then it was messed up on purpose. The style I like now is a classic side comb with shaved nape and occipital from a punk rock influence. Good luck and happy hair-cutting experiments!

Thank you very much!
